This is very true, Mike - one of the most common examples being the Gaelic ‘sròn’, which means ’nose’, and of course ‘cìoch’ (breast). It’s not just mountains though; many Gaelic words for body parts are used in naming landscape features. For example, ‘fèith’ (bog stream) means ‘vein’, which is wonderfully apt.
